Conspiracies is always running from your Hard Disk drive. Original CD\u0384s or DVD\u0384s need to be inserted in the CD \/ DVD ROM drive only in order to check the originality of the game.

Why do I need more space on my Hard disk even though Conspiracies only needs 2.68 gigabytes of free space (when both English and Greek versions are installed)?<\/b><\/span>
Even though Conspiracies uses only 2.68 Gb of your hard disk space after installation, there is a constant need at some points when the game is running in order to extract information at a certain location on your hard disk. This means that when the game runs it can use up to 3.5 Gb of your free Hard Disk space totally (2.68 Gb the installation plus almost 800 Mb of extractions at certain points of the game) plus of course your custom Saves that could be endless !!! So, this really explains the need of 4 Gb of minimum free space.
When your system provides a Hard Disk of 30 Gb (having at least 10-12 Gb of free space) then the start up process as well as the loading screens are speeded up, up to 600%. We also have measured that 30Gbyte Hard Disks provides the fastest access while the game is running, so this is the reason why we recommend such disks.

Can I play Conspiracies on another operating system than XP?<\/b><\/span>
Conspiracies is designed for every Windows platform including Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows Xp, Windows 2000, Windows ME and Windows 98. Windows Xp offers the best performance and stability.

What Version of DirectX do I really need?<\/b><\/span>
Conspiracies is using DirectX 8.1b – so you need to install the DirectX package included within the installation CD\u0384s or DVD\u0384s of the game. If this version of DirectX or a newer one is already installed on your computer then the installation process will skip this step automatically without installing anything on your hard disk. This means you can have installed DirectX 9.0 and above without any consequences to the game or to your DirectX installation.

When I start Conspiracies I can see a Black Square window opening and then it closes right back and dissapears.The game does not start.<\/b><\/span>
There are 4 things that could be happening in your PC.
a) DirectX is not installed properly or not installed at all.
Solution : In this case install DirectX provided with Conspiracies original CD\/DVD ROMs
b) Your graphics card cannot support DirectX8.1 and above due to driver lack or due to small amount of Video memory
Solution : Change the graphics card (notice that Conspiracies need at least a 16 Mb of Video Ram).
c) The Drivers of your graphics card are not updated and cannot perform under DirectX8.1b and above.
Solution : Please try download and install the latest drivers of your Graphics Card from the Graphics Card manufacturer.
d) The last and most complicated problem on this matter is due to an outside – sideways – program that you use to enhance the Horizontal and Vertical scan of your Monitor. Conspiracies does not let the Horizontal rate exceed 85 Hz due to safety reasons (non plug and play monitors that can be damaged on refresh rates above 85Hz).
Solution :<\/b>\u00a0You should degrade inside this sideways – tool program the refresh rate for DirectX resolutions from rates that exceeds 85hz to 85hz and below in the desired resolution and try to start Conspiracies again. Remember that default resolution is 800 x 600 on 60hz, so you need to set 800 x 600 resolution as well as the resolution desired to get a first start of Conspiracies.
Another alternative on this is downloading the patch from our web site that releases all refresh rates from 85hz to unlimited *** BE CAREFUL *** you can damage your monitor if you don\u0384t know exactly what you are doing.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
